The hiding 2

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me… ”
“Adam, where are you?”

“Lord, I heard your voice and I hid, because I was naked. ”

“You heard My voice, so you’re my sheep. But you do not follow me. You must be running away.”

“Lord, I heard your voice and I hid myself because I was naked.”

“Adam, you’ve always been naked, I formed you that way, but I never told you. Who told you that you were naked? I came yesterday and you ran to me naked and we talked, you didn’t mind being naked. You have always been naked, you have always had the propensity to sin, but I didn’t mind, neither you did you know. Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”

“My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. Adam, I called and you hid. You hid because you disobeyed me, you ate the fruit.”

“Lord, I ran because I was naked, I couldn’t bear the thought of you seeing me bare, my nakedness is too unholy for you to behold.”

“Adam, I can’t deal with you like this, because now you’ll always run from me, you’ve seen your nakedness, now you know your vulnerabilities. Please, Adam, take off those clothes of figs they don’t do much good, take these clothes of skin, I would solve the problem soon, so things would return to normal.”

“You’ll have to leave the garden now, Adam. Because I want to work something out for you and if you stay here you’ll eat of the tree of life and ruin my plans.”

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
“Adam, My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”

“I and my Father are one, Adam. Here’s the robe of righteousness I made for you. It’s not like the robe of skin I gave you earlier, this one is better, far much better. My son had to die for me to make this. Put on this new robe, and you’ll never be ashamed to come to me.”

“When I call you, no matter what you have done, come to me and obtain mercy. I forgive sins and remember them no more. Adam, you’re blessed because I would not impute your sin against you.”

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. I have prepared a place for you, that where I am, there you may be also.”

“Adam, it’s going to be like Eden again, the good times would return. No, it’ll be better than Eden, because, Adam  this time, no more snakes.”

“I love you, Adam. I really do, I always have and I always will.”

The superfluity of love

She loves me, she loves me not?
The knowledge of love is quite hard to grasp, because love is something than cannot be bought, or forced, but has to freely given. And the communication of that love cannot be explicitly stated, but is guessed through oral, visual and material cues.
For the heart cannot fully explain or express its love for another, we have to guess and believe that we are loved, through the cues we receive.

One day he walks by and sees her by the corner then “falls” in love. Here’s the dilemma, she doesn’t know he loves her. So in order to let her know, he uses his school fees to buy her a phone, Why? He loves her.
Her house rent is due, He uses his feeding money for the year to pay the rent, Why? He loves her.
He sees her with another guy, yet he uses his   all to take her on a date, Why? He loves her.
She spits on him yet he grovels on his knees, begging for forgiveness why? He loves her.

Onlookers stand by and call him foolish, because really, it kinda looks foolish.
But to him it’s not foolishness. It’s LOVE, and all these actions are just his ways of expressing his heart’s content, and he’ll go to any length to show her how much he loves her, irrespective of how foolish it looks to others, because to him it’s wisdom.

The only limit to how much he gives is the depth of his love, the more he loves the more he gives, the more foolish he looks, the more his love is translated. He may even love to the point that puts his life on the line, just for her to know he loves her.
She loves me, she loves me not? Matters too little.

But here is the risk, he may get nothing, no love in return, yet he is not deterred, he keeps loving, hoping one day she’ll understand his hearts state and reciprocate this love, then become his.

*[[Joh 3:16]] WMTH-ME* For so greatly did God love the world that He gave His only Son, that every one who trusts in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.

AFTER THE STORM

When I was in Primary school, I used to sing the National Anthem and say the pledge every school day. I got into Secondary school, it dropped to twice a week. Now, I hardly ever… I repent. I promise not to show my love for my country only on the 1st of October… This is my first Acrostic poem. And it’s to Nigeria. #patriotism#

Skewing the Moral Scale

moral-compass

The scales of good and and evil have been skewed so wrongly, the moral Compass has lost its bearing.

Morality has now become that which is accepted either by the majority, or minority in power. It seems like the standards of right and wrong are being relegated into the background.

A few centuries ago, a woman half clad with her sensitive parts exposed was seen as morally depraved. But now it’s called “women rights”, with the right conditions,  murder, rape and other ” heinous ” crimes would soon become morally justifiable actions, as adultery, fornication (now church words), lying, some forms of theft and corruption etc, are almost becoming fully accepted.

We need our moral standards back, and the truth is that without God there cannot be any sure moral standards, because someone of higher authority needs to hold us accountable.

*[[Isa 5:20]] BBE* Cursed are those who give the name of good to evil, and of evil to what is good: who make light dark, and dark light: who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter!
